I’ve always been fascinated by World War II. Both my grandfather’s enlisted and fought in WWII and I have too many great uncles that didn’t make it home. For obvious reasons, my grandfathers never mentioned the war but I’ve always been fascinated with that time period. This list of books has helped me grasp a multi-faceted war filled with tragedy and unimaginable loss.
Have you liked the last 11 Mercy Thompson books? Then you’re going to enjoy this one as well! Smoke Bitten by Patricia Briggs was exactly what you want in a Mercy Thompson book. It follows the same story equation as the other 11 books which might make it feel like you’re reading the same thing again but it’s got great writing and solid characters that will keep you turning the pages.
Reading this book was a blast! I mean that quite literally – get ready for quite a few blasts in this adventure-heavy book. Aurora Burning by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff is exciting, action-packed, and fast-paced.
Untamed is not the only book out there that gives you that intense, empowered feeling. It’s not the only one that makes you want to get off the couch and do that thing you’ve always wanted. It might be one of the best but here’s a list of other books that will make you roar.

Steamy hot cakes, Batman! From Blood and Ash by Jennifer Armentrout was not what I expected. After reading her Lux series, I just assumed this book was young adult but DON’T GO IN WITH THAT EXPECTATION! It was so smexy I think my Kindle melted!

American Radical, by Tamer Elnoury and Kevin Maurer, is an incredible memoir of a Muslim American FBI agent working counterterrorism. As soon as I started reading this book, I knew that I was going to love it.
Sometimes we need a book to take us out of our head, to get us to stop thinking about whatever else is going on in the world. Sometimes though we have so much going on in our lives that we need a book that takes us off the freaking planet!
