My brother-in-law recently loaned me The Stand by Stephen King. It’s the extended version so a bit longer than I’d like (1141 pages…whew!) but I’m halfway through and loving it. The book did get me thinking though – what are my favorite Stephen King books? So I came up with a list of the top 10 Stephen King books, ranked, because obviously if I loved it, you’ll love it too. I’ve been waiting for Max Brooks to release another thriller and I was so psyched when I saw he was releasing a book this summer (so psyched it was one of Feyble’s most anticipated books of summer). When I read that the book was about Bigfoot, I was really disappointed. My hopes were so high and to know that this book was going to be about Bigfoot?! Really?! When has there ever been a good book about Bigfoot?!
When I heard that Mexican Gothic was being released this summer I couldn’t wait. In fact, it was one of Feyble’s most anticipated books of summer (for other anticipated reads, click here). And then I saw the cover and I’m pretty sure I drooled a little bit.
American Radical, by Tamer Elnoury and Kevin Maurer, is an incredible memoir of a Muslim American FBI agent working counterterrorism. As soon as I started reading this book, I knew that I was going to love it.
America has a thing for true crime. Interesting, isn’t it? To think of millions of people around the country all fascinated by murders (that’s got to be a red flag…). True crime movies, shows, and novels are abundant.
As a fan of Julie Kagawa’s Iron Fey series, I thought I was going to be best friends with The Immortal Rules. Unfortunately, I think we’re only “acquaintances-adjacent.”
